Biaño's: Pizza-Next-Door

I guess CDO, especially Xavier University college students, are lucky to have an affordable yet good-tasting pizza within reach. I discovered this pizza last Tuesday when I went out to meet up with my highschool  gradeschool friend for some catching up and quality bum. Just like everyone else, we took a long time deciding where to eat that we almost settled for Jollibee! Good thing my other friend said something about me trying out the pizza which is just a walking distance away from their school. :)

Who would've thought you'll find mini food haven in some unnoticeable alleyway and beside an internet cafe? :))

Biaño's bestseller

Rule of thumb: when it's your first time in any restaurant or food store, either go for their bestsellers or for whatever your [reliable haha] friends recommend. And yes, my friend and I ordered the Fullhouse Pizza and fortunately it was really good and satisfying despite the toppings that keeps falling off since it looked like they were just sprinkled before serving. Messy but I can deal with it. It's a typical pizza overloaded with toppings yet it has its own unique taste and not the usual commercialized taste that we all know of  from all the well-known fastfood pizzas we know. You can say the taste's really homemade (gah, how do describe it).

What made their pizza really good is their melted cheese whose taste is distinct from the rest of the toppings unlike some pizzas where their cheese is just the thin (sometimes dry) yellow-colored layer painted on the crust before sprinkling it with any other toppings. No wonder my highschool friends love even the cheapest Ham n' Cheese pizza. Its cheese is soft and thick enough for you to savor its taste.

And the price? Really affordable. Worth it.

I'll definitely try this one before leaving for Manila

Or this. Cheeeese.

Bacon. 'Nuff said.

This looks good too!

So much for pizza. I guess I have to settle for the typical Yellow Cab, Greenwich and Pizza Hut pizzas when I'm back in Manila. No more budget-friendly, homemade pizzas for me :(

Thanks Kyang and Pagc for introducing me to Biaño's! :D

FOODGASM: Wicked Oreos

WICKED OREOS <3
picture from Foodspotting.com

Heya :) Just wanna share one of my favorite desserts, Wicked Oreos of Flaming Wings!

Though at first you'll feel a little bit resentful spending P75 for this instead of going for the cheaper Mcdonald's McFlurry or Jollibee's Ice Craze. but wehhh, it's worth it :D The Oreos cookies trapped inside a pancake mix, coupled with vanilla ice cream and some sprinkles and chocolate syrup ..YUM YUM.

So if you happen to be studying or living near Katipunan, then I say you visit Flaming Wings and try out their signature dessert! and yeah, their chicken meals also really good.

if you wanna know how to make your own Wicked Oreos, here's the trick!

And if food tripping's one of your guilty pleasures, then this one's for you :)

Pasalubong Cravings

Ever since I left for Manila to study college, I always made sure that I go back to CDO 3x a year -one before summer semester (late March), one before 1st semester (late May) and one during semestral break (late October).

And my flight home is NEVER complete without these sweet cravings exclusively found in Manila :) .Since even when it comes to buying some food, I'm still a bit of a crammer and there I go shopping for sweet stuffs a day before my flight and sometimes, even hours :D And here are the top three things that enter my mind during my last-minute pasalubong-buying because 1.)they tend to be accessible from the dorm and 2.) i just simply love them.

They call it pasalubong, but I call it "taking-advantage-of-the-pasalubong-custom-to-satisfy-my-sweet-cravings" :))

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts <3

and here is something new which is one of my favorite flavors :)) Snickers + Krispy Kreme = <3>

I say the minis are Krispy Kreme's version of Dunkin Donut's munchkins or Mister Donut's smidgets. But who would have thought that two of my guiltiest pleasures -Snickers bar and Krispy Kreme doughnut -will be merged into one? Every bite of the doughnut is also synonymous with biting a small chunk from Snickers. My, I wonder how many calories are loaded in there. It sure will scare the appetite out of my health-conscious friends :)). So much for my beach body figure goal this summer. this thing is too hard for me to resist :D

aside from doughnuts, I also love buying these sweet stuffs for my flight home:

Brownies Unlimited
Banapple's Cakes especially
Banoffee Pie <3

who knows what my waistline would be if I would eat these yummy things on a regular basis O__O. that's why I'm treating them as food rewards or pasalubong, not ordinary foods always present in my fridge, ready to answer my most random cravings especially when I'm studying, watching TV series or worse, bored :))

I still have my whole college year to explore for more yummy and accessible pasalubong. if I can't think of something else, these 3 will spare me. so much for wanting to look good this summer, I still can't say no to good, sweet, tempting food :)

btw, HELLO SUMMMER!!
